things that are not happy:
- I have to move out of my house in two weeks. My landlord was going to let me stay as long as no one had rented it, but as it turns out, someone just signed the lease.
- My "good" knee is being crappy. It's really sore and it clicks/pops. My physical therapist tells me I'm having patellar tracking problems in that knee too, which apparently isn't uncommon, since I favor that one. I'm having some balance issues since both of my knees are crabby, so if I am walking like a pirate or lose my balance, that's why.
- Grad party planning. Help?
things that are happy:
- I wrote my last paper of my undergraduate career! Friday I take my last final, and then I'm done. I'm so glad to have my concert attendance & service learning stuff out of the way.
- I think I found a place to live for a couple of months?
- Cool people are going to be in town this weekend.
- Grad party!!!

when did life get like this?
I just returned home from a weekend in Madison, where I spent quality time with some friends in need. Adam and I drove down my parents' truck, filled to the brim with everyone's donations for Leanne (the friend whose house burned down). I spent some time on Saturday with Leanne, and then spent Sunday with a friend who was semi-recently diagnosed with MS.
After having a monumentally bad week of my own, I started to wonder: when did we grow up? When did life get so complicated? Is this what the "real world" is? I'm trying to remember when my biggest worry was forgetting to do homework or sleeping through a final.
Right now I'm just trying to take things one day at a time. I have had a bad stomach ache for the past few weeks (since the day the trial started), but I think it's getting a little better. Physical therapy is going okay - I have all sorts of new (read: painful) exercises to do. I'm still easily frustrated, mostly because of the fact that I can't even go for a short walk on the bike trail without being in a lot of pain afterwards.
Anyway, at least I have graduation to look forward to. I can't wait!

what a sad week
I probably don't need to mention what this title is about. If you're looking for a more in-depth reaction, you won't find it here.
Adding to the absolute shittiness of this week: the apartment of a good friend of mine (in Madison) burned down over the weekend. Luckily nobody was home, but she lost everything, including her two cats. I feel so awful for her.
I guess the only positive thing I can say is that it's amazing how thoughtful friends can be during difficult times.
