what a sad week

I probably don't need to mention what this title is about. If you're looking for a more in-depth reaction, you won't find it here.

Adding to the absolute shittiness of this week: the apartment of a good friend of mine (in Madison) burned down over the weekend. Luckily nobody was home, but she lost everything, including her two cats. I feel so awful for her.

I guess the only positive thing I can say is that it's amazing how thoughtful friends can be during difficult times.
